Book Overview

The book is a collection of thirteen articles discussing various aspects of how African Old Testament studies can acknowledge its African context. The title Let my people stay! Expresses the conviction that African Old Testament Studies as a discipline methodologically and hermeneutically is called to stay African and to stay in Africa.

The book is a report from the Africanization of Old Testament studies Project, 2002 – 2006. The project included three doctoral students from Madagascar, Tanzania and Uganda, and Five senior researchers from South Africa, Uganda, and five senior researchers from South Africa, Uganda and Norway.
